Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity in our Digital Team for a Digital Innovation Coordinator, who who will be actively involved in coordinating the SCFT Digital Innovation Lab, a virtual network for encouraging innovation amongst our clinical staff, as well as developing and facilitating innovation approaches across the digital transformation programme and clinical services.

The post holder will be instrumental in scaling up our successful SCFT digital innovation lab to create a Sussex wide health and social care innovation lab, influencing and facilitating groups of stakeholders to deliver on this aspiration.

We encourage both clinical and non-clinical applicants as the role directly supports the improvement and development of clinical services and therefore the requirements to maintain professional registration can be supported.

This role will be part of a high performing, multi-disciplinary team using agile methodologies to ensure that digital solutions are designed in an accessible, user-friendly and rewarding way, so as to maximise the clinical benefits.

They will be required to have excellent communication skills to support effective engagement with staff at all levels to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and influence others and explaining digital clinical ideas and concepts in a way that others can understand.

Main duties of the job

This role will be focused on facilitating digital innovation projects across the Trust through the digital innovation lab, supporting clinical change and encouraging the uptake of new digital technologies that bring value to SCFT's services.

This role will require highly developed specialist knowledge, underpinned by theory and experience of health services, including; digital clinical solutions; project and change management; and quality improvement, acquired through training and experience to Masters' level or equivalent.

The postholder will be a champion for digital innovations, supporting innovation projects and evaluations, and developing the Digital Innovation Lab, creating engaging content and encouraging others to do the same.

The postholder will work with clinical and digital leaders, nurturing a clinical culture that embraces trialling new digital technologies to support improvements for patients and staff and efficiencies for services.

Although we are based at the Trust's head office, Brighton General Hospital, we are very supportive of remote working, with the team working a mixture of home and office working. Occasional travel across Sussex is required when service support requires this, and you should have the ability to travel to and reach any of our sites.
