Please note we will be interviewing successful candidates on a rolling basis and as such may close the vacancy before the deadline The WiSE (What is Sexual Exploitation) Project is an innovative, award winning project working across East Sussex, Brighton and Hove and Surrey, with children and young people experiencing or at risk of sexual exploitation; as well raising awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation and other forms of Child Criminal Exploitation and Harmful Sexual Behaviours. Your role will allow schools to reduce the impact of harmful sexual behaviours through education and communication, early recognition, and effective response building. Enable schools to build spaces for pupils to feel safer and know that any reports of Harmful Sexual Behaviour, sexual harassment or assault will be quickly and appropriately dealt with. Supporting staff to feel confident in identifying and challenging abusive, inappropriate, or misogynistic language. Alongside creating Harmful Sexual Behaviour action plans developed in line with OFSTED expectations. You will have the confidence to develop a new support offer for Brighton and Hove. You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of the needs of schools, have the skills to work in a range of settings and in-depth knowledge of safeguarding, child exploitation and harmful sexual behaviours.
