HR Officer (East Sussex)

We have an exciting new opportunity for an HR Officer to join the East Sussex branch part our central services team.

  • Salary: £25,058 - £28,245 FTE (SAT 7)
  • Full-time, 37 Hours per week.
  • Central Services role, Based in East Sussex

As a HR Officer you will be expected to provide an effective advisory and support function to schools within Swale Academies Trust. You will be the key point of contact for new, current, and exiting staff in relation to their pay and pensions matters, as well as providing Headteachers and other senior leaders with advice and guidance on employee relations matters in consultation with the HR Business Partners and maintaining confidentiality and respect whilst adhering to policies, procedures and regulatory framework.

This opportunity will challenge and develop your HR knowledge along with your organisational skills, so drive, enthusiasm and creativity is essential, as is a level 5 CIPD or be working towards one. You will be required to have up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice along with an understanding of staff pay and payroll processes.

Previous experience of working within the education sector would be an advantage but it is not essential.
