Senior Fundraising Executive

Hours: 30 hours a week

Salary:  £26,500 pa (£32,683 FTE)

Location: Hybrid

About The Role

Age UK West Sussex, Brighton and Hove is looking for a Senior Fundraising Executive to join our team! If you're passionate about helping older adults and skilled at securing funds for important services, this role could be perfect for you. Your job will involve reaching out to different organisations for funding, building relationships with donors, and exploring new fundraising opportunities. You'll also help with activities like In Memory/Legacy, Community, Events & Appeals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prepare, and write high-quality grant and trust applications to secure funds for our services and operations.
  • Maintain the Fundraising Pipeline Tracker to track reporting requirements and manage funder relations effectively.
  • Conduct prospecting research to discover new funding opportunities and maintain relationships with existing funders.
  • Collaborate with Age UK national on strategic grant opportunities and represent AUKWSBH at networking events.
  • Provide input into strategic objectives and plans, working closely with the Head of Marketing & Engagement.
  • Contribute to the annual fundraising plan, including In Memory/Legacy, Community, Events & Appeals.
  • Previous experience in fundraising, particularly in grant writing and trust applications.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and fundraising platforms is desirable.
  • A driving licence and use of car is required for the role

This is a hybrid position and can be based from any of our centres (Bognor Regis, Haywards Heath, Horsham or Brighton), with the option to work from home on a regular basis. Home working maybe considered with occasional travel for meetings. During the interview, we can discuss various work arrangements. While we lean towards a four-day workweek with flexible scheduling, we are open to exploring other options.
