About the role:

We are looking for a Payroll Manager, to join our payroll team in Crawley. You will take ownership of the day-to-day provision of an efficient payroll function that supports and sustains the business activities, both strategically and operationally, operating within company policies and procedures and complying with legal requirements and meeting the needs of our colleagues ensuring confidence in their pay.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on matters relating to payroll as required.
  • Manage monthly UK payroll cycle, responsible for the provision of accurate and timely payroll payments in accordance with current legislation.
  • Manage administration and implementation of benefit schemes.
  • Monitor the accuracy of all information held in the payroll system (ADP Streamline) especially in regard to all employee lifecycle changes, i.e. starters, leavers, job changes, payroll information, etc.
  • Act as first point of contact with ADP. 
  • Assist Finance with the monthly payroll related journals, ensuring correct information is provided to reconcile back SAP system.
  • Maintain salary sacrifice and taxable benefits within payroll system.
  • Prepare forms P11D and PSA as required.
  • Project work and any other ad hoc tasks as necessary.

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive experience with ADP systems preferred.
  • Experience of managing end to end monthly payroll process.
  • Strong IT skills, advanced user in Word and Excel and ability to manipulate data
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills

What else could be helpful to be successful in this role

  • Experience of SAP useful but not essential
