Engagement and Events Manager
(Part-time, up to 25 hours per week)
Up to £37,500 FTE per annum (Depending on experience)
Permanent position to 31 March 2028 (with the possibility of extension)

The Manor Royal BID is the largest Business Improvement District operating in a business park anywhere in the UK. The successful candidate will join a small, friendly team dedicated to improving Manor Royal and supporting the people and businesses that work here.
The role
With a focus on people and building relationships, this role is ideal for a capable, organised and confident person who enjoys meeting people, organising events and overseeing projects focussed on supporting the community of Manor Royal.
You will oversee the planning and delivery of the Manor Royal BID events programme, managing people related projects including helping to organise the Manor Royal BID training and volunteering programme, support the Executive Director to ensure the smooth running of the BID Board and its committees, perform day-to-day customer liaison and database management.
While you will be expected to spend time in the office and on Manor Royal in Crawley, the Manor Royal BID is committed to people enjoying a decent work-life balance and is supportive of flexible working.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a customer service environment or equivalent.
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships and working and liaising with a wide range of people from organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
- Experience of event planning and management
- Experience of project and budget management
- Experience of using customer relationship management systems, or the ability to learn
- Self-motivated and disciplined. Ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- An outgoing, “people person” with a friendly personality
- IT literate and familiar with Microsoft Office including Excel, Powerpoint and Word
