In a word

To provide business analysis for new and enhanced propositions throughout their development, from initial ‘idea’ stage, through to detailed requirements specification and justification. This is likely to involve analysing market insight, management information and assisting with discovery workshops, in order to identify, document and agree business requirements. This role will be assigned to one or more of three business areas, Health, Money or Protection and may be reassigned based on the business need and to give the holder wider career experience.

Practically Speaking

  • Capturing, analysing and prioritising business requirements using appropriate methodologies – workshops, 1-2-1 stakeholder interviews, analysis of internal and external qualitative information and data, etc.
  • Create detailed requirements documentation, including workflow, to articulate future high-level customer journeys and internal processes, for evaluation with stakeholders
  • Analysing existing customer propositions and service experiences in order to identify and document a prioritised set of enhancements
  • Collaborating with all departments to conduct high-level potential impact assessments arising from development of ‘ideas’ and ‘proposed’ propositions, including additional resourcing and budget requirements
  • Working closely with projects teams to ensure requirements are understood, managed and can be traced through to functional and test specifications, prior to release
  • Working with stakeholders to compile and maintain accurate monthly and quarterly reports on the progress towards strategic goals and proposition deliverables

If You’re right for this role

  • Proven business analysis experience, ideally within financial services
  • Numerate with good attention to detail, problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, product owners and subject matter experts to create proposals, specify requirements and clear business justifications 
  • Proven experience of working as part of a project team
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Strong Business Analysis skills, including experience in a range of methodologies, elicitation methods and documentation techniques
  • Comfortable working independently, or with guidance
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment and to work where there is a degree of ambiguity
