Our vision is a world without fear of cancer. We now have an excellent opportunity to join our Apprenticeship Program, within our Manufacturing team, at Varian, Crawley UK.
As a company, we are strongly committed to our Apprenticeship programme. The ideal candidate will be willing to continue their education by undertaking HNC (Higher National Certificate) a 2 Year course of day release. This will be subject to agreement between Apprentice and Varian.
The Opportunity
Our Training Program offers:
• Year 1; Full time at college, covering the basics of Electrical and Mechanical skills.
• Years 2 & 3 Day; day release at college plus involvement in our Internal Programme covering different departments within the company e.g. Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Support Engineering.
Apprenticeship Role:
• Successfully complete the first year of college and obtain Level 2 qualification to enable progression to Level 3 qualification.
• Successfully complete the years 2 & 3 of college and obtain Level 3 qualification to enable progression to Level 4 qualification.
• Meet regularly with Employer Services to review NVQ portfolio and key skills progress and agree objectives, actions and deadlines.
• Meet regularly with the Production Manager for opportunity for feedback on apprenticeship progress, issues and training requirements covering both technical and personal skills.
• To carry out other duties as may be reasonably assigned by your manager in line with the Apprenticeship program.
Apprenticeship Entry Requirements:
• Minimum of three GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade 4 or above, including Maths, Science and English.
• An aptitude for organization, results and quality and eagerness to learn
