Back-End Developer

The role of the Back-End Developer is to support the Global Marketing Communications team in implementing web platforms.


The responsibilities include implementing marketing stack integrations with third-party APIs and systems in a cloud computing setting.


This role is ideally based at Cornerstone office in Crawley UK but other Elekta office locations in Europe would also be considered.




The role of the Back-End Developer is to provide support to the Global marketing communications team. This will include:


  • Implement features and enhancements using various technologies such as Java, Python, Go and JavaScript using various frameworks
  • Analyse and migrate legacy on-premises systems to cloud services
  • Implement development and administrative and integration tools
  • Provide insights into data collected through various integrations to ensure digital health of Elekta’s platforms



Key performance competencies


  • Unix systems in general
  • Cloud providers ideally AWS
  • Experience in one or more programming languages: Java, Python, Go
  • Knowledge of frameworks in your programming language’s ecosystem
  • CI/CD Systems in general
  • Git version control system
  • Experience with cross browser development
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Educated or being educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Highly motivated and a good team player
  • High degree of integrity
  • Cultural awareness
  • Previous experience working in a within an international context would be highly advantageous
  • Readiness to learn adapt to new programming languages, DSLs and programming styles
  • Readiness to constantly improve and expand the current skillset with own projects
  • Location - ideally based in Crawley, UK but other main Elekta office locations would also be considered.
